What Kind of Christmas Weekend Did I Have & Why?
Peaceful. We usually go into hibernation for Christmas and this year was no different! Christmas Eve involved a lot of preparation and we did work a little bit, but after about 6pm, it was all Christmas baby! Christmas movies, EggNog (or as we like to call it: Nawg), new Christmas pajamas, Food, Music, more food, more music, more nawg, more movies...and Steelers football ON CHRISTMAS!!! It was a wonderful weekend!
It turns out that over the past week we watched 11 Christmas movies...yes, 11!!!
1. Four Christmases
2. The Santa Clause
3. Home Alone
4. Elf
5. The Ref
6. A Christmas Story
7. This Christmas
8. Scrooged
9. Fred Clause
10. Christmas with the Kranks
And, of course...
11. Christmas Vacation (the quintessential "Christmas Eve in new Christmas pajamas movie")
How Do I Feel? Health/Lupie Status?
It was a Christmas miracle!
With all of the drinking and eating I did, I stayed in a great place physically! I definitely learned my lesson from Thanksgiving on Day 184, so I took it easy on my consumption. No food comas or recuperations this go-around! My pain stayed under a 3 all friggin weekend!
I’ll cheers to that!
Workout Time & Duration?
Now everyone knows that there are no workouts allowed on Christmas. Seriously - the damn gym isn’t even open. What more proof do I need?
Destination Wedding Task Tackled:
Nope...I did confirm my napkin call with Lea for Tuesday, but that’s it. And I’ve been working on that for days, so I’m not counting that. So, nope...
Any Old Destination Wedding Tasks Making a Comeback?
...And nope
Loving Black Love Moment?
Cooking breakfast together was an unexpected addition to Christmas Eve and I was smothered in Quality Time so without going into too much detail...this whole weekend was One Big Loving Black Love Moment.
What am I happy for?
FaceTime. Although I thoroughly enjoy my hibernation time with Che, it is impossible to forget that I’m away from my sister & family at times like this. I feel like a cheesy Apple commercial just typing this...but thanks to FaceTime, I’m able to connect with them visually. I loved being able to call my sister and nieces and see their faces on Christmas! It’s really something to be happy for.
I also have to be happy for the Steeler win over those Ravens! Gotta be happy for that gift!
What could I have done better?
Hmmm...it would have been great if I could have figured out how to make Christmas longer...
I can work on that for next year...everything else was A-1!
What am I doing tomorrow?
Che will still be on vacation, so I’m going to try to ride this Christmas train out a little longer!
