Day 173

Monday, December 5, 2016

Temperature: High 44° / Low 32°

How Do I Feel? Health/Lupie Status?

As usual, I took all of meds today, My hands were giving me the blues today, I’d put it at about a 5.8...yesterday was better, but it has been getting a little worse over the last couple of days. I need to make some adjustments for this week because I’m not trying to let a flare come up. No ma’am, not me!

What Kind  of Day Did I Have & Why?

I was hot and cold today...not in terms of temperature (although it was cold today), but physically. I’ve been achy most of the day which jacks up my mood, but then I ended up lifting my spirits at the gym.

Workout Time & Duration?

Booty Day was the shiznit! It was a great way to start the week off and although my hands almost gave out on me on the second to last workout, I did pretty damn good! We even added 30 minutes of spin into the night as a cherry on top! I love my gym instructor Jim! He always gives me a little moment of shine! As soon as I walk in the door, he asks me how many days I have until the wedding and then gets the group to clap for me...who wouldn’t love that as wedding motivation? Yup, I gotta get back in there more often. With the I did decide that I’m going to have less upper body days and add a core day instead so i’m excited about that too!

Destination Wedding Task Tackled:

I finally narrowed my napkin options down to 2 and now I’m just waiting to see what kind of fabric samples they can come up with. I’m loving Etsy right now! It's kinda crazy to think that I was considering making my own napkins and getting my DIY Bride Thang on...on a day like this, i realized that my hands could never do all of that.

Any Old Destination Wedding Tasks Making a Comeback?
Nope!

Loving Black Love Moment?

I was having a hard time figuring out what to do for dinner and Che told me that he wasn’t feeling too well today. Not sick, just not at 100%. Since I didn’t have time to whip up a lasagna or cheesesteaks to lift his spirits, I went for the next best thing: Steak and Potatoes. I picked up a Dry-Aged Rib Eye and worked my kitchen magic (so humble, I know). The alternative was shrimp, and I know he’s not really a fan of it, and I didn’t want to bring any takeout either.

The result was us sharing a nice home-cooked meal together and a fiance with a little bit lighter mood.

What could I have done better?

I probably shouldn’t have toughed it out with my hands during my Booty Day workout. It was unnecessary stress and I’m hoping that I don’t regret that decision tomorrow. I just really wanted to complete my sets, but I should have altered the workout. I’m going to have to tell myself:
IT’S NOT THAT SERIOUS OMI!

What am I happy for?

Etsy! The amount of creativity on this one website is amazing!

What am I doing tomorrow?

Taking it easy on the hands…Everything else will be secondary.
