Black Destination Wedding Bride - Women's March - Hidden Figures

Day 126

Saturday, January 21, 2017

Temperature: High 67° / Low 48°

What Kind of Day Did I Have & Why?

If it were possible for me to have a Quality Time overload, it could have happened today. Lucky for me, I’m pretty sure that is an IMPOSSIBLE feat, so today I just enjoyed being with my man!

How Do I Feel? Health/Lupie Status?

I’ll rate today’s pain at a 4...It is amazing how connected my mood is to my pain...SERIOUSLY...when my spirits are high, my pain is low.
I was a little achy in the morning, but by the end of the night Che had to remind me to take a pain pill...That says a lot about my pain today!

No stress is the way to go...but I already know that!

Workout Time & Duration?

There was no working out going on today. I’ll call it my break day!

Destination Wedding Task Tackled:

Nope.

Any Old Destination Wedding Tasks Making a Comeback?

Nope again

Loving Black Love Moment?

This whole day was a Loving Black Love Moment!

What am I happy for?

Days like this!

And I'm also happy that the Women's March was so successful. I didn't participate, but looking at the turnout I'm happy that so many came together in solidarity for our rights. I suppose it is no coincidence that we saw Hidden Figures at the movies on the same day of the Women's March tonight... or was it a coincidence. I guess it was - one hell of a coincidence. It got me thinking about rights in this country and this morning's march. I didn't understand the purpose, but I just pulled this off of the mission & values section of the Women's March website:

In the spirit of democracy and honoring the champions of human rights, dignity, and justice who have come before us, we join in diversity to show our presence in numbers too great to ignore. The Women’s March on Washington will send a bold message to our new government on their first day in office, and to the world that women’s rights are human rights.

That makes me happy.

What could I have done better?

Well here’s the thing:

We were so enthralled in our Quality Time that we kinda sorta definitely forgot about Spartacus. Forgot to walk him, feed him, just plain forgot him. We were gone longer than expected which means he was oh so ready to go outside and eat by the time we got home. He’s such a good boy! We gotta do something for him as a treat, although I’m pretty sure he has already forgotten about it...Dog memories are the best!

But THIS is why we don’t need kids!

What am I doing tomorrow?

I have all of the right intentions to hit the gym in the morning with my fiancé...and watch the Steelers game with the homies.
