Day 56

Saturday, April 1, 2017

Temperature: High 49° / Low 40°

What Kind of Day Did I Have & Why?

Yes, it was April Fools Day, but there were no jokes today! Everything was 100% real and FINALLY, an old destination wedding task has made a comeback - wait...is that a good thing?

How Do I Feel? Health/Lupie Status?

My wrists were kinda creaky and stiff today, so I’ll give my pain a 3 today.

Workout Time & Duration?

Booty Day returned today! We were only in the gym for about an hour, but it was a pretty good workout!

Destination Wedding Task Tackled:

We were supposed to have our wedding talk today, but it didn’t happen. We’ll do it tomorrow.

Any Old Destination Wedding Tasks Making a Comeback?

Something old DID come back today! I FINALLY have something relevant to put here!

Okay, so this is what happened…

I was minding my business interviewing a Desti for the podcast, and she brought up a bonfire that she had as an event for her destination wedding in Jamaica. And then, just like that - it made me think back to our bonfire idea that we scrapped early on in our planning. We decided against it for a few reasons, but now I’m thinking that it might be possible since I got new advice from today’s Desti. Now...I just gotta get Che on board with me. I think it could be a fun and kinda romantic addition to the weekend!

Fingers crossed!

Loving Black Love Moment?

This afternoon, we had our second pre-marital counseling appointment and it went very well. I love how open and honest we are both being and I love that we are working on maximizing our happiness with these sessions. We’re learning how to make each other happier (if it’s even possible) and I’m looking forward to making my relationship with my future husband even better! We’re gonna be dancing into the sunset!

What am I happy for?

I’m still happy that we got our first wedding gift last night! And it's so cute and meaningful too!

One of our friends is Chilean, so their gift to us was the Chilean tradition of a three-legged pig called Chanchitos

This is what the description says:

In the small village of Pomaire, Chile, little pigs, bring good luck. Three legged chanchitos are especially fortunate and are traditionally given to friends as a token of goodwill and love.

Yes! Goodwill and love! THAT'S all we need...just goodwill and love 😍

What could I have done better?

After our counseling session, we stopped to grab a drink and my self-control was on -1,000! I wanted calamari, some bread sticks and dessert in addition to the glass of wine that we went there for. Now, did I eat them? No - well, I had about ¼ of a breadstick...but other than that, I settled for a. salad.

That sounds good, but Che definitely needed to help me out
and I need more self-control if I'm gonna make it through this!

What am I doing tomorrow?

Enjoying a nice Sunday and taking it easy...I may even sleep in! But we gotta have our wedding talk tho at some point in the day.
