I’m back down to my 2...I have minimal pain and my energy level is back up. I guess staying active and eating all these damn salads has proven helpful.
Workout Time & Duration?
I had a great morning workout and while on the elliptical machine I called the Judge’s clerk again to follow up on the possibility of completing our plan to “get pre-married” on the Monday before we leave and they will check with the Judge today, but the clerk did say that his usual days are Tuesdays and Thursdays so I took this Thursday - just in case.
Destination Wedding Task Tackled:
💖 So...I woke up this morning to an email from our travel agent, Sarah updating us about the status of last week’s request for our guests to provide her with their flight information. As much as I wish that everyone complied, as it turns out, most people were considerate and did what we asked of them...BUT, there are 2 damn people left who still haven't provided their flight info…we told everyone that the only way the group could gain confirmation from the hotel is with this confirmation, and still nothing...I know people like to say “there’s always one”...but we have 2!
What the fuck man?!?
Che reached out to his guest and I reached out to mine - because apparently, we have nothing better to do than play personal assistant and reach out to people personally as a 3rd reminder to do the right thing...
💖 My 2 Veils!
We designed my 2 veils right there in the shop and it felt damn good!!!
Alecia and I spent our lunch break at Clarissa Boutique to design my veils and it went perfectly! The designer lady gets it! After she finished her sketch and made me a happy girl, she assured me that she could make my vision come to life but needed to know...

Her reaction was hilarious, but she told me that she can do it by Thursday and would call if it is ready sooner. No problem!

💖 I sent all of the final information and made my payment to make sure that our wedding details will be done in time. Place cards, “Find Your Seat” signs, The Allens, Table Numbers and all of that! I can’t wait to see the final product!

Loving Black Love Moment?
Today I asked my Bridefriend, Alecia, if she and her wonderful husband would be willing to do our reading during our wedding ceremony. We did a reading for their wedding last year and would be honored if they would return the favor. She said yes and will, of course, confirm with her hubby! It feels great to be able to celebrate Black Love and have people in your life who are beyond happy to do the same!

What am I happy for?
I finally took my pink hair out...and it was a quick weave which means it was 100% glued on top of my braided hair. So what happens when you glue hair on top of your head and consistently sweat at the gym for weeks??? You get a gluey mess that leaves you close to tears and frantically wondering…
...did I ruin my hair almost 1 week before my wedding?!?
Well, luckily I didn’t and the grapeseed oil that I used to loosen the tracks also served as a great dissolver, so I just had to comb it out and wash several times. Today I’m happy that my hair is safe!

Hmmm...nope - I got nothing! I’m still a Desti rockstar!
