What Kind  of Day Did I Have & Why?

This Sunday was a day of preparation. Weekly workouts prepared and posted, this week’s dinner and lunch prepared, mentally preparing to wake up at 6:30 every morning...I prepped it all today and it felt great! Although we didn’t get to decorate the tree after the Steelers game (they won by the way), it was still a great day and I did get to plan a time to decorate in the most holiday-spirity way possible! Today was a good day!

How Do I Feel? Health/Lupie Status?

More exhaustion than pain got to me today, but I was still able to get through it. In addition to my meds, I popped one of my Energy & Metabolism pills from GNC and was on my Merry Way. I’d give today a 4 today.

Workout Time & Duration?

We went to the gym this afternoon and I must say that I SUCKED TODAY. We started with Core and it was probably the worst core exercise of my life. No, seriously… It wasn’t good at all. It was obvious that I hadn’t been on my normal gymrat behavior and I have to get my body back in its groove this week. It’s crazy how quickly my body can fall off of the wagon. The good part about it now is that it gets back on just as quickly. I’ll be good tomorrow, so I’m not trippin. I was just terrible in my own mind today so, I did a mile and a half on the treadmill and then Che tried to cheer me up, but it wasn’t working so we left. I’d say we were only there 45 minutes...1 hour if you count the stretching. It wasn’t much, but at least it was something!

Destination Wedding Task Tackled:

Nothing new today.

Any Old Destination Wedding Tasks Making a Comeback?  |   Loving Black Love Moment?

I’m combining the Old Destination Wedding Task today with my Loving Black Love Moment today. Why? Well, because they are the same thing! Duh! I’m funny, getting smart with myself...It’s my journal and I’m allowed...That’s how I’m feeling today.

Back to the task/moment: At the end of the Steelers game, we talked about our end of ceremony song to be played after the whole “I now pronounce you man and wife [or whatever we will decide on]” part...It’s known as the recessional, but that sound kind of churchy to me. Anyway, at the beginning of our planning we quickly came up with a song that we both love and made a quick decision on it. Sooooo...now I’m having second thoughts, which means now WE are having second thoughts. We like the song still and love the energy it brings, but the wording - not so much. It just doesn’t feel appropriate to the situation. Che agrees, but we both really DO like the song, so we may go for it anyway.

Well, today we sat together on the couch all bundled up and cute-like and interviewed other songs to see what could give our original choice a run for its money. We both enjoyed this time and shared some laughs together while talking about how we THINK we will feel once we’re Man & Wife...I said: Man & Wife! All cheesy grins over here!  I’m sure we have no idea, but it was a fun and sweet exercise to go through anyway. Plus, we came up with some good songs and there are now 3 major players in the running. If they’re not played for our recessional, we’ll at least have them in our reception playlist!

What am I happy for?

The opportunity to be planning our destination wedding in the first place. I’m already happy for the man I have and the fact that he wants and fully intends to spend the rest of his life making me happy (it sounds like I’m writing his vows), but we’re having our ceremony in the best place that we could think of and THAT is something to be happy about.

See:  this is what happens when you sit listening to potential wedding songs with your fiancé! It is true doe!

What could I have done better?

I was shooting down a lot of Che’s choices for the recessional almost instantly and I could have let them play out a little bit before slamming down the axe. I ain’t have to do him like that!

What am I doing tomorrow?
Getting my gym groove back & decorating our Christmas tree! And I didn't forget that Lea will be textile shopping in the Guatemala market for my napkins either! I'll be imagining the amazing world of textiles she will be in tomorrow too!
