Day 168

Saturday, December 10, 2016

Temperature: High 34° / Low 23°
There were snow flurries all day today...and I think I liked it!

What Kind  of Day Did I Have & Why?

Magical. Just Magical...I woke up to breakfast in bed, a nicely formed Christmas tree (no longer a mystery) and proceeded to have the best day I’ve had in a long time. This may sound crazy, but we went to the World’s Best 1-year old’s Birthday Party this afternoon. Held at a restaurant with great food, an open bar, and a charitable donation as a gift, who wouldn’t enjoy a party like this?!? The age wouldn’t even matter, but the fact that our friends had a party for their adorable son in this way was quite impressive. We continued the rest of our day with loads of Quality Time, so today was an amazing day!

How Do I Feel? Health/Lupie Status?

Mild aches sprinkled throughout the day put me at about a 3.5 today. Too much good stuff happened today to dilute it with talks about pain. It was there, but really...I wasn’t caring.

Destination Wedding Task Tackled:
Nothing that I can think of.

Any Old Destination Wedding Tasks Making a Comeback?

The birthday party put Che in the mood to discuss celebrations so we re-discussed our Night on the Town event we’re planning as a part our destination wedding. We really enjoyed the privacy of the restaurant we were in today, and that got us thinking about exploring private area options for dinner. We took a loot at the menu again and we just may have to pay the 5 [*martin voice] to have the dinner the way we want it to be. We’ll talk about it more later.

Loving Black Love Moment?

We had a great time together today and I always get a little mushy about my Quality Time, but I wasn’t the only one feeling it today! Our QT always means a lot to me, but he was sure to let me know that it meant a lot to him too today. While at our friend’s son’s birthday party we met an amazing woman who told us something especially thoughtful. She  has been married for over 40 years (I think she said 43), and wanted us to remember this:

Every Moment is a Special Moment

I think today was a testament to that. That can be a new mantra.

What am I happy for?

Having a man that isn’t ashamed or embarrassed to tell anyone how much he loves me.
I love that shit!

Workout Time & Duration?

I’m ashamed to say that I didn’t go to the gym today. No excuses...I got nothin.

What could I have done better?

I could have made time to go to the gym today. I really don’t have an excuse, but this week has been the worst gym participation thus far.

What am I doing tomorrow?

#1 Gym
#2 Christmas Tree decorating time!
