What Kind of Day Did I Have & Why?
Super-productive, yet I feel like I did nothing...when I look at my to-do list there is progress - but why don’t I feel it?!? 45 days!
How Do I Feel? Health/Lupie Status?
I was a little achy in my wrists today so I’ll give it a 3.
Workout Time & Duration?
I went for an outdoor run today and it was great getting back out there. According to my Nike Run App, I haven’t logged any miles since October - I blame the winter. Anywho...I did 1.6 miles and it felt great. I skipped weights since I was achy-handed anyway.
Destination Wedding Task Tackled:
We checked off a bunch of shit today - at least it felt like a lot...let’s see:
💖 Responded to our planner, Joyce about the menu - we now know where the 2 additional vendors came from (3 planners), we picked our menu, open bar package, and entrees and requested an updated quote for all of that.
💖 Emailed the resort to find out if any private areas are available for our welcome event. We’re thinking 1 hour of cocktails before everyone goes to dinner should be good
💖 Updated our Appy Couple wedding website - all event times are updated and we added details including the ALL WHITE dress code for our Night Before Dinner; UNPLUGGED wedding notice; and Menu Choices
...the site is officially up to date!
Yup...that's enough for a day!
Any Old Destination Wedding Tasks Making a Comeback?
Actually, yes!
Look at me putting this area to use…
We revisited our wedding timeline today and Che realized that as we have it, our guests will arrive at the venue 45 minutes before the ceremony is scheduled to start - I didn’t see a big deal - but he is right...that’s too long to be outside in the sun on a Mexican beach in May...and don’t let me be late - that’d be miserable!
We shortened the wait by 15 minutes and checked with Joyce to make sure that is okay. We’ll get her confirmation and then let the transportation company know - we need to reply to his message soon anyway.
Loving Black Love Moment?
So while we were going over everything, it was my task to update the website and I was having a hard time getting my wording together. I got frustrated and snapped at Che when he tried to make light of my difficulty and I didn’t find it funny at all. He made me pause for a moment and let me know that he wasn’t making fun of me and we apologized and kept it moving. We are getting better and better at conflict resolution. Gold star for us!
What am I happy for?
I’m happy that I was able to have lunch with a friend and former co-worker this afternoon. It was great catching up and I realized how much I really missed her positive energy.
And shout out to my salad too - it was bomb!
What could I have done better?
To-Do Lists...I need to tighten up here. I’m sitting here at 1 am because I forgot to finish the grocery list on top of all the other shit that I have to do. I’m feeling overwhelmed and I think it may be time to ask for help. My plate is runnething over...yes, runnething - I said it.
