Day 193

Tuesday, November 15, 2016

Temperature: High 57° / Low 39°

What Kind  of Day Did I Have & Why?

Productive. For the first time in a LONG TIME, I actually completed everything I planned to do!..And it felt great! The last days at work countdown is coming down to the wire, but everything is moving pretty well. I got my workout in and even made time to put together a new bookcase with Che. I have to say, today was a great day.

How Do I Feel? Health/Lupie Status?

On a scale of 1-10 (because 0 is never an option), I'd say pain levels maintianed at a cool 4 until bookcase assemby time, then I was about a 6... but that was temporary, but oh so worth it because I'm loving the bookcase and can't wait to figure out where I'm putting it. But back to how I'm feeling... A cool 4 is pretty much why I was able to be so productive. All meds taken, all water consumed, we ate relatively well (Pad See Ew Thai noodle dish with chicken and shrimp) and all weights lifted! Ya girl is feeling good, feeling great!

Workout Time & Duration?

Speaking of lifting weights, today was Week 2 - Day 2: Upper Body Day: Chest & Shoulders of my Destination Wedding Workout Plan, and I thoroughly enjoyed every minute. Che said it during his workout too, but I think because we were so raggedy over the long weekend, today was a highly motivated day! Bonus: Because it was a no cardio day, I didn't have to sweat my hair all the way out and it only took about an hour out of my day.

Destination Wedding Task Tackled:

I got some great options for the wedding napkins, so that is always a great thing! I decided that 40 is the magic number and I'd like them to measure at 20"X20". As it turns out,  there are several different sizes for napkins, but this is what I'm happy with it. I ended up having a critical wedding planning light bulb moment - I realized that I hadn't discussed any of this napkin business with Che, so I asked him if he wants to be involved... and of course, he does! I'll put together my presentation and hope for the best... He usually comes up with some great additons so I'm hopeful. Fingers crossed that he doesn't veto my whole huipil napkin vision because I'm really inspired to mix colors and textiles. It'll be amazing!

Any Old Destination Wedding Tasks Making a Comeback?

Nope, I'm just happy that I was able to make progress on my napkins. Almost done! I hope, but probably not.

Loving Black Love Moment?

Putting together our new bookcase actually gave me the fuzzies. Spending time together figuring out where pieces should go and using our bodies together to make it into reality really brought the teamwork out of us. And yes, I said using our bodies together...my mind may have been in the gutter a little, but it's true.

Anyway, back to Teamwork...
I'm great at visualizing the final product and following along with the not always so clear instructions. Che is physically strong and a great listener, so he did more of the physical assembly.

It really was one of those "where I'm weak, he's strong moments" and I loved every piece of it.

What am I happy for?

A fiance' that really is (and wants to be) involved in planning our destination wedding. I've heard horror stories about brides who aren't as fortunate,
so I'm appreciative and happy to have mine.

What could I have done better?

Nothing. Absolutely nothing...I slayed the hell outta this day! Those words have never come outta my mouth, but it sure was fun typing them. I'll say it one day.

There - I just read it aloud...and I liked it!

What am I doing tomorrow?

Making an appointment to pick out and finalize our wedding band selections so we can take advantage of that 20% sale this week!!!
