Day 59

Wednesday, March 29, 2017

Temperature: High 62° / Low 46°

What Kind of Day Did I Have & Why?

Today was a day where I had no choice but to appreciate the life that I live. 59 days baby!

How Do I Feel? Health/Lupie Status?

I’m still feeling great! Pain was at a 1.5 today - mmm...make it a 2. And although I have noticed that my cheeks are drying out and rashing up. This usually only happens during or after a flare, but I don’t feel bad. I don’t know WHAT the hell is going on

Workout Time & Duration?

Thanks to Che I did about 20 minutes on the treadmill. Okay, make it 16 ½ minutes - I rounded up.

Destination Wedding Task Tackled:

Well, I thought more about yesterday’s idea to personalize our wedding welcome bags and unless I can find a company that will ship to Mexico, that’s a no-go. We’re already packing 40 napkins and Che will freak out if I try to add anything else to take along. The thing about shipping to Mexico is Customs...I’d have to make sure that they can guarantee shipping - and do it soon since time is a tickin’.

Any Old Destination Wedding Tasks Making a Comeback?

Loving Black Love Moment?

Well...we outsourced lunch today and decided to have sushi, but on the way, I spotted a new taco spot and commented on it. After we picked up our sushi, Che had the bright and terribly romantic idea to go back and try out the taco spot. We split two tacos and did a taste test and I love every moment of it!

Tacos = Love

I did NOT want to work out today. I let the gym close and had little intention in working out which would have broken my brand new rule to workout daily (and it’s only been 3 damn days! Pitiful, I know) but Che motivated (also known as bothered) me and we worked out. He was my strength today! Gotta love that man!

What am I happy for?

I’m happy to be alive. We attended a family member’s funeral this afternoon and moments like that make me so appreciative to just wake up every day. I live with my disease and family drama can be upsetting, but I make it through and have the bonus of being happy every day.

What could I have done better?

I could have NOT been an asshole about working out today. I made a rule and 3 DAYS later I’m already ready to fall off the wagon...I need to do better!

What am I doing tomorrow?

  1. Going to the gym first thing in the morning because I have a ton of work to do.
  2. And I can’t forget to make my doctor’s appointments - I need to check in with my rheumatologist and get my prescriptions renewed. Seriously - I need to do it tomorrow or else Che might blow a gasket...he wasn’t too happy to hear that I hadn’t done it yet.
  3. And making tomorrow better than today!
