What Kind of Day Did I Have & Why?
Sports and good friends are a great recipe for a perfect day. It's a shame it went by so quickly, but today was all goodness so I can’t complain too much. But seriously...where did the day go? I have no idea, but what I DO know, is I'm almost done with my Invisalign!
How Do I Feel? Health/Lupie Status?
I woke up a little achy, but I realize that is because of all of the tequila that I consumed last night. That’s what I get. I was, however well-rested since we woke up at about 11 am. I’ll say my pain is definitely down from yesterday, so I’ll put it at a 4.
Workout Time & Duration?
Well, I had every intention on working out, but waking up at 11 pretty much shut that shit DOWN.
Destination Wedding Task Tackled:
Nothing was tackled...absolutely positively nothing. And I’m a little embarrassed. But...I started my Invisalign journey so that I can have a beautiful straight smile in our wedding pictures... and since today marks the last week of aligners, I technically checked off a task - right? Okay, I'm reaching a lil bit. But I'm still excited!
On another note, we should have our final numbers of confirmed guests since the deadline to pay their final room payments was on Day 92, and I’ve been trying not to be nervous about it...but I am. The suspense is killing me a little. We should know by Monday - I think.
Any Old Destination Wedding Tasks Making a Comeback?
Nope.
Loving Black Love Moment?
Today was a good day for us...but if I had to choose ONE moment...it’d be...sitting and talking to our friends & fam about how excited they are for us and the wedding. We talked about how great the resort and trip to Mexico is going to be and also how long we’ve known each other and all of that good & mushy stuff. It was exactly the type of love that we needed to be surrounded with considering the last couple of days we had.
What am I happy for?
2 things made me really happy today:
- I’m happy for mornings like the one we had today. It doesn’t happen too often, but we slept in, went out for breakfast and had a good chat. I’m happy that we can do that. We remind ourselves often that life is really good for us and we are really fortunate. Even though we get disappointed and let down sometimes, in the grand scheme of things - we’re winning...and that’s something to always be happy about.
AND... - We have friends who actually read our wedding website and remembered details about our wedding plans! It’s funny to say this, but when you put so much work into your wedding website and guests ask you things about this very important event in your life and then the same guests forget and then ask questions like - when/where is the wedding? It is so amazing to hear a friend talk about our App and Website and details about the wedding… even things I forgot I mentioned early in our planning. That makes Omi a Happy Desti!
Okay, make it 3... - I’m marrying this guy in less than 84 days!
What could I have done better?
I could have worked out...I have a lot of work to do on this Desti body and skipping multiple days is going to get me nowhere!
What am I doing tomorrow?
Going to the gym, getting some work in and trying to relax a little. This week had been slow, but I still haven’t been able to unplug completely and I’d like to do that a little bit tomorrow since I have a lot to do next week.
